Originally, I used xanga for venting... and vent I shall.

I started my week at Evanston Hospital and right away there are certain things I do not like.

For instance, I was waiting for the elevator with a couple of co-workers, and this lady was like, "I would never watch that movie, superman because he is gay and the director... I heard he was gay too." I replied, the guy who plays superman is not gay, he has a girlfriend." Silence for a few seconds. That was when I realized that she meant it in a negative connotation.

Yes, I am guilty of using that term in a derogatory comment, but that was years ago when I was in jr high. It was so 90's. Now, times have change and I have grown up to use different words that has a deeper impact. What a concept! By not defending people and making your statement across. P.S. this was the same lady that asked if i was married., THEN after that, asked if i had kids. THEN, asked me why I wasnt married. THEN after that, she asked why I thought I was too young too.   ...excuse me if I am educated and know better.

Encounter #2:

I was helping this guy set up the liquid meds for him. First of all, he didnt trust me so he only had me doing the 10 mL instead of the 1.37 and 4.5 mL. Yeah, like i cant read the measurements, bc Im new, a lil child can tell you what the lines are. Anyways, throughout my encoutner with him, he new I was going to pharm school and he made my future look shitty.

He said, that in India, its only $1,000 for the whole 4 years of pharm school. (Well, yeah, the standard of living is much lower there.) Then, he mentions how I wont get paid a lot of taxes. (Well, duh, its a certain percentage, but I'll get some of it back from the governement.) Then, he mentions how I wont have social security when I'm older. (Amanda made a good pt. She mentions, "by the time you're out of school there will be a new president anyways, and hopefully that one will stop increasing our nation's deficit and maybe he'll be able to do something to fix the social security problems and then you wont have to worry about it.)  ... why do some ppl like to bring you down?

Encounter #3: I do not, repeat, do not like ebonics. This guy in the elevator asked "you knew?" I'm thinking, I know? what do I know? He repeated it again, "you knew?" I have a confused look on me. Then, the third time, he emphasized "you kNEW?" Then it hits me: Oh, hes asking if I AM new. ... since when did a certain amount of ppl became lazy enough that they do not to use verbs in the english language -> what up/ mo' money, mo' problems

Ive been sick for a week now!! I havent been sick for almost a year.. now my streak is ruined. Now, I am back at school from dogsitting this weekend.  Poor Tigger, he spent his days sitting at home, while i was in bed or studying. Both undesirable. Now I have to prepare for a speech tomorrow, which is 7-8 minutes long! Im sure ill be under too much meds to worry about it.

P.S. I cant wait til school ends.

Miguel is back here for his spring break and I decided to take him to Medieval Times. Haven't been there before, but I was better than I expected. Too bad our team didn't won, the Black and White... the best color out there. We had to eat the food with our hands, ha most of us did. Anyway, it was a good time. Most of the audience memebrs celebrated their bday. One couple was celebrating their 50th anniversary.
